History
Shri Dhaneshwari Manav Vikas Mandal established college of agriculture Hatta. SDMVM’S started many educational institutes and now has been developed in a big organization. There are many faculties in this organization. The faculties belong to Medical, Engineering, Dairy, Education and Agriculture. There are about 10 D-Pharmacy and B-Pharmacy Colleges, one BAMS and BHMS College, two Polytechnic Colleges, D.Ed., B. Ed. and M. Ed. Colleges. In Agriculture along with agriculture colleges, college of Agricultural Biotechnology is a separate branch. The objective of above colleges is to give the knowledge of different faculties to the students and to develop well learned personalities. By doing the research in faculties the organization wants to improve the social life of population and do the welfare of the population living in this area.
Shri Dhaneshwari Manav Vikas Mandal main office is located at: B-101, Tulsi arcade, Cannaught Garden, CIDCO, and Aurangabad, (Maharashtra) with the Phone No. 0240-2480451. The institute has following objectives:
- To established and run societies for development of Agriculture Engineering Medical, Arts, Commerce and Science
- To do social service of all religious through Libraries, Hostel, Adult educated. Youth mandals, Oldage home and Mahila Adhar Grih.
- To undertake research projects on development of nursery, Orchids, Watershed development. In order to improve the economic condition of farmers and welfare of society, the Agricultural research is being done on following aspects.
- A) Development of high yielding genotypes with resistance to biotic and Abiotic stress. The genotypes with quality, wide adaptability and responsive to fertilizer.
- B) Production of quality seeds.
- C) Development of new production technology to improve the yield of the state.
About College
Students by appointing trained faculties, providing well equipped laboratories, quality teaching facilities and inviting well known personalities in the related work area of Agricultural . Up gradation of faculties is a continues process and a mandate of this college.
- Agriculture provides an opportunity to convert bio-resources into economic wealth and to use in research. While doing this care is to be taken in no way that there is no adverse impact either on the environment or on human and animal health. The bottom line of our national agricultural biotechnology policy should be the economic well being of farm families, food security of the nation, health security for the consumer, protection of the environment and the security of our national and international trade in farm commodities. Infusion of new technology is necessary to maintain our agricultural enterprises’ competitive and remunerative aspect. Modern science of biotechnology is relevant to various areas of agriculture including crops, animals, fisheries, agro-forestry and agro-processing related to agro industry.
- The SSJP College of Agricultural is affiliated to Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani, has developed many research components and done the good work for welfare of the students. The college has a beautiful campus with 50 acres of land and well furnished buildings, well equipped laboratories, digital classrooms, Library, computer laboratory, seminar hall, conference hall, student’s hostel and canteen, Hospital and Botanical garden etc.
